Subject: University curriculum question
Dear friends,
This is a request for info from SCI members associated or formerly associated with university music programs...
•Does your program require undergraduate music majors to participate in a “major ensemble” every semester?
•If so, do jazz big bands count as a major ensemble for the purposes of this requirement?
•Any other noteworthy info you would be willing to share about this curricular detail?
If you are willing, please email me (not the scimembers list!) the information at cweston at ksu.edu<mailto:cweston at ksu.edu>. If you can give me information about more than one program (e.g. a former and current institution), that would be great.
