Subject: Required courses for undergraduate composition majors
Hello, All,
Of course both Counterpoint and Form and Analysis should be required, but if you need to reduce, you might consider combining some courses. It might be possible to combine those two. It's not ideal, but there is some overlap between them.

Dear fellow composers,
We are working on some curriculum changes for the undergraduate composition degree at the university where I teach. We have to reduce the number of credit hours credit hours required for the degree and it's hard to decide what courses we can do without.
I hope you can share with us the requirements for composition studies (undergrads) at places where you teach. For example, are Form & Analysis and Counterpoint both required (I personally believe they should be, but maybe I'm stuck in old ways of thinking)?
Any input, sharing and thoughts are much appreciated!
