Subject: SCI Jazz Contest Winner Announcement
Dear SCI Members,
It is my pleasure to announce the winner of the first SCI Jazz Contest. The adjudicators chose Dr. Justin Morell’s piece, Terraforming, as the winning composition this year, through a blind adjudication process. We also awarded an honorable mention to Remy Le Boeuf for his work Secondhand Smile. We were thrilled to review everyone’s music, and look forward to hearing even more submissions next year.
Thank you to the SCI Executive Council for funding this first award in the amount of $500.00.
