Subject: Composing in the Wilderness 2019 - Deadline Extended

Many of you already know about Composing in the Wilderness - a life-changing summer field experience for adventurous composers. We are gearing up for our eighth season of exploring the inspiring wilderness of Alaska's backcountry, composing music about it, and having it premiered by top performers.
I’m writing to let you all know that we have extended our deadline for applications to October 15th.
This year we have two excellent trips to choose from:
* DENALI ADVENTURE (July 9-23, 2019): Five days of hiking and inspiration in Alaska’s Denali National Park accompanied by scientists and naturalists, three days of secluded composing, then premieres of the resulting chamber pieces by top chamber musicians. * KAYAKING ADVENTURE (June 23 through July 4): Six days of sea kayaking in the spectacular western end of Prince William Sound (glaciers and whales), then three days of secluded composing, then a couple more months to finish your pieces with premieres in New York City.

We welcome participants from all countries at all levels - professionals, university faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. The more diverse the group, the better.
