The Charlotte New Music Festival is now accepting applications for the Max Computer Music Workshop,

a two-week intensive workshop, focused on programming and composing interactive computer music, using the Max visual programming environment. The workshop will be led by faculty Charles Nichols and Ronald Parks, June 18-30, 2018 at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Faculty present a range of computer music topics, including the theory and application of MIDI and OSC data input, output, processing, storage, and sequencing, event timing and ordering, digital audio input, output, synthesis, recording, looping, processing, and spatialization, and the composition of interactive computer music. Participants program patches for interactive computer music, and perform their compositions with professional guest instrumentalists, in a public concert at the end of the workshop.
Selection for the Max Computer Music Workshop is competitive, limited to 15 participants, with application deadlines April 1 and May 1.
