Subject: Jason Bahr's Symphony No. 2
Dear Colleagues, When you have an hour to spare, please check out my second symphony. This is a video of the premiere by the Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers, the Mastersingers Festival Orchestra, the City of Palms Youth Choir, soprano Karin White and tenor Black Friedman. The work is in five movements and sets texts of Walt Whitman and Wilfred Owen. At the end I am not called up for a bow--I was in the hospital with heart failure at the time of this performance.
