Dear SCI friends and colleagues,
Do any of you have information regarding the fate of composer & Opus One recording engineer/new music promoter MAX SCHUBEL? I suspect that he has passed away, but I've not been able to confirm that via the web or other sources.
When I was living in NYC, I remember visiting him upstate, going to the structure where he stored his Opus One LP inventory, in order to acquire additional copies of my Opus One #142 "Reconciliation" album. It was a handsome place, with the LPs and jackets carefully and securely stored, separately. [...]
