Subject: Snapshot Conference this weekend
Greetings, everyone! Please consider attending the SCI Region III Snapshot Conference hosted by West Virginia University this coming weekend, April 7-8, if you are able to do so. This is a conference of student composers that is represented by five schools with active SCI chapters in the area: West Virginia University, George Mason University, Ohio University, University of Mary Washington, and University of Pittsburgh.
The compositions on the program represent all levels of development on the collegiate level, from first-year freshmen to well-seasoned graduates, and you are invited to come listen and offer encouragement to these hard-working students. There is no admission charge to attend any of the concerts, which are on Friday evening @ 8:30pm, Saturday morning @ 9:00am, and Saturday afternoon @ 2:00pm. After the last concert, we will get together for an informal time to eat and chat in our on-campus restaurant hub; your presence afterward will be greatly appreciated if you do come.
Morgantown is only 75 minutes from Pittsburgh and is just 3 hours from Columbus and 3½ hours from the Baltimore/Washington area.
