*“Constancy,” a chamber opera by Martin Halpern, freely based on Anton Chekhov’s “The Bear,” will be given a fully staged production at 8 PM on February 9, 10 and 11 at the Penthouse 2 Theater, Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street in Manhattan. *
*Featured in the cast are soprano Samantha Britt, baritone Jim Trainor, and tenor Aram Tchobanian. The pianist is Earl Buys, stage direction is by Jamibeth Margolis, stage director is John Alden Hooper, costumes are by Anna Cole, and music direction is by the composer.*
