Dear SCI colleagues,
This Saturday, classical/avant-garde/jazz NYC big band The Free Sound Ahn-Somble – a division of Tenth Intervention – premieres a new work at the Cell in Manhattan. *Code Switch* recasts some of my metal leanings in a jazzy context.
The program also includes new big band works by Doug Balliett, Gene Pritsker, and band-leader Dorian Wallace, followed by a set by the Liberté Big Band.
