Greetings. I am the only living choral conductor recipient of Columbia University’s Ditson Conductor’s Award established in 1945. The only two other choral conductors to win this award were Robert Shaw and Gregg Smith. Other recipients include Leonard Bernstein, Leopold Stokowski, Alan Gilbert, James Levine, Bob Spano Mstislav Rostropovich, Lukas Foss, Michael Tilson Thomas, Antal Dorati, and Eugene Ormandy.
