Subject: coarse load question
Hi Amy,
Three is standard faculty load everywhere I've ever taught theory that meets three times per week. I've seen some very creative "administrative math" done in an attempt to keep faculty off overload officially so they won't have to compensate them.
I've also seen students get two credits for theory that meets three days per week. This was done so that all the required courses can be taken without going over the University's limit for credit hours per degree program.
Best wishes, Linda
