Hi Everyone,
I hope your concert season is going well with lots of performances of your compositions!
I’m writing today to invite you to visit our new project’s website: http://www.capeannopera.org
It’s a steampunk inspired opera with graphic novel style projections over the performers. So far, we have recorded the work and had a partially staged (on-book) performance in New York City. We are currently working on a video and fully staged performance with projections next season.
In addition to the live performers/projections, there is a backing track that is built on vintage steam engine and clockwork sounds. The main character’s clockwork heartbeat keeps time for the soundscape and music (all synced together) throughout the work. Additionally, a brass quintet performs a role similar to a Greek chorus for much of the opera.
