Your student might also consider my school, Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. We accept undergraduates with a range of backgrounds, and all of them get individual lessons as well as a weekly group meeting of composers.
Our composition faculty includes myself, Tania Leon, Jason Eckardt, George Brunner, and Doug Cohen.
