For those in the central Kentucky area, I hope you will join me this Wednesday, September 23 at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky for the premiere of my new song cycle, "Where I Am Now." Four award-winning Kentucky poets will be on campus for the event. At 7:30 p.m. in Carrick Theatre in the Mitchell Fine Arts Building, poets George Ella Lyon, Richard Taylor, Frank X. Walker and Jeff Worley will speak about their work, followed by the performance that features a work by each poet. Sopranos Joanna Manring and Amanda Balltrip will join me at the piano. [...]
