Subject: 2015 Keene State College Call for Scores
Dear SCI members,
I invite you to submit your compositions to our 5th annual Keene State College Call for Scores. Complete information about the competition can be found at the following link: http://www.keene.edu/academics/programs/mu/workshops/scores/
In summary, the Keene State College Music Department is offering a $1,000 cash prize to the successful winner of its 2015 Call for Scores. Composers are invited to submit one full score, 4-15 minutes in length, for 1-4 players from any subset of the instrumentation listed on our website.
The 2015 Call for Scores focuses on contemporary techniques. *Submitted works must include extended techniques of any sort. *Extended techniques must be idiomatic to each instrument and must be clearly notated and explained in the score. Submitted works may include tape accompaniment, as long as the set-up can be accomplished via laptop, one laptop performer, and a standard sound system.
Compositions must have been written within the last five years. Compositions may have been performed, but preference may be given to unperformed works. *Deadline: July 30, 2015*
